• Premium status: Whether you've purchased premium features

2.2 Payment Information

If you purchase premium features:

• Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, our secure payment processor
• We receive only confirmation that payment was successful
• We never see or store your credit card information
• Your billing email is stored locally on your device for receipt purposes

2.3 What We DON'T Collect

We explicitly do not collect, transmit, or have access to:

3. How We Use Your Information

All data collected is used solely to provide you with the core functionality of Dopamine Detox:

• Block websites when you activate detox mode
• Track your focus streaks
• Send you notifications about your usage
• Enable premium features if purchased

4. Data Storage & Security

4.1 Local Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API. This means:

• ✅ We cannot access your data
• ✅ No external servers or databases
• ✅ You can delete all data at any time through Chrome settings

4.2 Chrome Sync (Optional)

If you have Chrome Sync enabled, your Dopamine Detox data may sync across your devices through Google's secure sync system. This is handled entirely by Google, and we have no control over or access to this process.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not share, sell, or rent your data to anyone. Ever.

5.1 Third-Party Services

The only third-party service we use is:

• Stripe: For secure payment processing when you purchase premium features. Stripe has its own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy

6. Your Rights & Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: View all your data anytime in the extension dashboard
• Export: Download your usage data in JSON or CSV format (Premium)
• Delete: Remove the extension to delete all data, or clear specific data in settings
• Modify: Change tracked sites and preferences at any time

7. GDPR Compliance

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA):

• We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
• Your data is processed on the legal basis of your consent
• You have the right to withdraw consent at any time
• You can request data deletion by uninstalling the extension
• We are the data controller for any data collected

Your data is retained locally on your device for as long as you have the extension installed. When you uninstall Dopamine Detox, all local data is automatically deleted by Chrome.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, there are no international data transfers. The extension itself is developed in the United Kingdom.
