3. User Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Dopamine Detox. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

By using the Extension, you represent and warrant that:

• You meet the age requirements
• You have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into these Terms
• You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. License & Usage Rights

4.1 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Dopamine Detox for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

4.2 Restrictions

You agree NOT to:

• Modify, reverse engineer, or decompile the Extension
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
• Use the Extension for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Extension to others

• Create derivative works based on the Extension

5. Premium Features & Payment

5.1 Premium Purchase

Premium features are available for a one-time payment of $19.99 USD (or equivalent in your local currency). This is a permanent, lifetime license.

5.2 Payment Processing

• All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• We do not store your credit card information
• You will receive a receipt via email after successful payment
• Prices may vary by region due to currency conversion and local taxes

5.3 Refund Policy

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you're not satisfied with Premium features, you can request a full refund within 30 days of purchase by emailing [email protected].

After 30 days, all sales are final. We may offer refunds at our discretion on a case-by-case basis.

5.4 Premium License

Your Premium license:

• Is permanent and does not expire
• Is tied to your Chrome browser via Chrome Sync
• Can be used across all your devices where you're signed into Chrome
• Cannot be transferred to another user

6. User Conduct

You agree to use Dopamine Detox responsibly and in accordance with all applicable laws. You will not:

• Use the Extension to violate any laws or regulations
• Attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the Extension
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or malicious code
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Collect information about other users without consent

7. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to Dopamine Detox, including all intellectual property rights, are and will remain our exclusive property. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding.

The Dopamine Detox name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Dopamine Detox. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission.

8. Privacy & Data

Your use of the Extension is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your information.

• All your data is stored locally on your device
• We don't track you or sell your data
• You own your data and can delete it anytime

9. Disclaimers & Warranties

• Warranties of merchantability

• Non-infringement
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

9.2 No Medical or Professional Advice

Important: Dopamine Detox is a productivity tool, not a medical device or professional service. It is not intended to:

• Diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition
• Provide medical, psychological, or professional advice
• Replace professional treatment for addiction or mental health issues

If you have concerns about your social media usage or mental health, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

9.3 Accuracy of Data

While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that usage tracking data will be 100% precise. Time tracking may be affected by browser behavior, system resources, and other factors beyond our control.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Premium features (if any), or $20 USD, whichever is greater
• We are not responsible for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• We are not liable for damages caused by third-party services (including Stripe)

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, etc.) and even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Dopamine Detox, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your use or misuse of the Extension
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
• Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations

12. Updates & Modifications

12.1 Extension Updates

We may update, modify, or discontinue the Extension at any time without notice. We may add or remove features, change functionality, or fix bugs.

Premium users will continue to have access to all features available at the time of purchase, plus any new features we add.

12.2 Terms Updates

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we do:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top
• We will notify you through the Extension if changes are material
• Your continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms

If you don't agree with the changes, you should stop using the Extension.

13. Termination

13.1 By You

You may stop using Dopamine Detox at any time by uninstalling the Extension. Your local data will be automatically deleted.

13.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Extension if:

• You violate these Terms
• Your use poses a security risk
• You engage in fraudulent activity
• Required by law

13.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your license to use the Extension ends immediately
• You must uninstall the Extension

• Premium purchases are non-refundable after the 30-day period (unless otherwise required by law)

14. Geographic Restrictions

Dopamine Detox is available globally through the Chrome Web Store. However:

• Some features may not be available in all countries
• Payment methods may vary by region
• We make no representation that the Extension is appropriate or available for use in all locations

You are responsible for complying with local laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

15. Dispute Resolution

15.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15.2 Informal Resolution

15.3 Arbitration (where applicable)
